FODMAP for Common Digestive Disorders
FODMAPs are certain carbohydrates that for some people are not well absorbed in the small intestine, where we absorb most of our nutrients. They then travel to the large intestine, where they’re fermented by the bacteria that naturally live there. This fermentation can lead to gas, bloating, pain, diarrhea or constipation.
If you’ve searched for the best diet for IBS, you may have heard about the low FODMAP approach. This plan has been shown to reduce symptoms in about 3 out of 4 people, no other diet has been shown to be as effective. You can start feeling better today!
You may have been told by a medical doctor to follow a low FODMAP diet. If you are feeling a bit overwhelmed or confused, you are not alone. It’s not an “eat this, don’t eat that” diet, and isn’t easy to figure out by yourself. I have years of experience and deep training with the low FODMAP approach. I will walk you through the foods you can eat, and how much of certain foods you can tolerate. Together we will use the low FODMAP approach to help you eat the most varied diet possible, all while controlling your symptoms.
TESTIMONIAL: Freedom from abdominal issues, weight and anxiety
I have seen a few dieticians and GI specialists since I was diagnosed with an E-Coli infection. It wasn’t until I worked with Kim Kulp that I was able to incorporate a dietary regime that addressed my abdominal issues, weight and anxiety.
